Ethernet not working on Z370M-DS3H & i5 8400

Hardware:

CPU: Intel Core i5 8400 Coffeelake

GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB

RAM: 2 x 8 Crucial Ballistix Sport 2666 MT/s

Motherboard/Laptop model: Gigabyte Z370M DS3H (information from Gigabyte)

Audio Codec: Realtek ALC 887

Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL 8111 (tried Realtek RTL 8100, which did not work at all, didn’t even register Ethernet cable as being plugged in nor did it display in “Ethernet Cards” under System Information)

Wifi/BT Card: N / A (just planning to use Ethernet)

What guide/tool followed: https://hackintosh.gitbook.io/-r-hackintosh-vanilla-desktop-guide/, and then the Coffee Lake config.plist Guide

What part I got an issue with: Simply put, my Ethernet isn’t working. On a possibly unrelated note, I /sometimes/ get a notification saying “Another device on the network is using your IP address” (or similar), which I don’t think necessarily is a cause of the issue, but instead caused by the Ethernet not working itself.

One last note: on my home WiFi app, it does show that my Hackintosh is attempting/trying to connect to the internet, but somehow doesn’t.

What files/config I am using: config.plist I followed all the Vanilla guide screenshots and where it got complicated I verified/copied the Raw XML. I did read over the explanations so I am confident in the config.

Extra Info: I just got this working a few hours ago. I have graphics working along with audio. I do remember tweaking 1-2 BIOS settings when I quickly skimmed over the Internet Install Guide, but none that I believe would affect Ethernet. HOWEVER, I have yet to figure out how to boot without the USB, as that was not included in the guide. I’m not sure whether this would affect Ethernet or not.

Also, again, possibly unrelated, when I was first installing macOS, the computer restarted, and on the Clover screen, I quickly switched the bootup from some "Preboot macOS Install Preboot" (something along those lines) back to the "Install macOS ..." (something like that), because I thought that's what I was supposed to do. Now when I startup my Hackintosh, I still see the option there, but I can boot into the Hackintosh itself fine (so I think I should be fine?). I tried running it after I installed macOS, and it didn't do anything (printed out a few lines, ultimately did nothing so I shut back down and left it as is).

If you need any additional information please let me know. I'm so close!!
