I'm just gonna get this out of the way right now.
Everything I've found in the past told me to use Unibeast and Multibeast, with downloading macOS from a real mac, so that's what I did. Of course, I have no real idea what I'm doing and, while I got a lot working, I'm still having some problems.
Now I've got that out of the way, this is what I'm working with.
Acer Aspire E1-571 laptop (Intel i5-3210M CPU, Intel HD 4000 GPU - no dedicated, HM 77 chipset, Atheros AR5B95 wifi card - yes I replaced the one in the laptop)
The main issue I have is I can't get the keyboard working on macOS Sierra. After doing a lot of googling, trying out a lot of things and generally having no idea what I'm doing, I've got the thing stuck on the apple logo and I'm thinking that maybe I should use the vanilla guide on here to build completely clean USB installation media. But... where the hell do I start? Do I need to use the Ivy Bridge section of the guide to configure my config.plist file? I have a rough idea what drivers I need. I have semi-working ones for my audio (it works, but you have to turn the mic off or you get ear-bleed noises), working wifi and I think I know how to configure clover to inject the ID for the HD 4000 so that'll work.
Buuuut that's about it. Also, should I go over to my friends house and use her mac to generate a new Sierra USB install stick? Or can I use the Mojave VM I have on here? I ask about that since the... um... other forum frowns on the use of VM's so I'm really not sure which I should be doing here.
Thanks in advance and sorry for all the very n00b questions.
