Ridiculously slow WIFI speeds with TL-WDN4800 (>5 mbps) - dual booted Windows gets 150+ - High Sierra 10.13.6

High Sierra 10.13.6

MOBO: GA-Z170X-Gaming-G1

WIFI: TL-WDN4800

Speed Testing: fast.com

I have a dual boot system, and 300 mbps fiber internet with a solid router. Sitting at my hackintosh desk, my (official) Macbook gets about 200 mbps down and up on WIFI and my iPhone gets 225+ mpbs. Booted into windows, I can get anywhere from 150-200 mbps on WIFI.

On my hack, I can only get 1- 6 mbps, with my average around 2.5. I didn't really notice until about a week ago when we go the fiber installed, we'd had crappy internet up to that point so I always assumed that was the problem, not my WIFI card. The antenna are all correctly connected and pointed towards the router, and the speeds on Windows prove it's a hack/MacOS issue.

I'm not aware of any kexts or drivers you have to install to get the 4800 to work OOTB. The card is showing up under System Report as Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x3112).

Whenever I bought this card years ago it was the recommended option, I'm not against replacing it if something newer will work better.

Running ethernet is unfortunately not an option as the modem is in another part of our rental home and I can't do any remodeling to get a line to my studio. I tried the TP-Powerlink option (rated at 500 mbps+) but I can only get a maximum of 750 kbps in any of the outlets in my studio, guessing crappy old wiring is the issue.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or help!
