Hello, so after building my first Hackintosh, which you can see on my Reddit account, I have decided to test it using some benchmarks, and while it does run in a very stable way, the results are much worse than on windows (except for cinebench, which worked wonders in Mojave, and actually beat windows).
My build is a Ryzen 5 1400 overclocked @3.7Ghz,
MSI B350M BAZOOKA,
RX 580
The following are benchmarks in VendettaMark 2018:
Mojave: score ~3000
Windows: Score ~12000
The following are benchmarks in Heaven: Settings in Preset Extreme.
Mojave: Average FPS ~35-40
Windows: Average FPS ~70-80
Meanwhile, In cinebench Mojave beat Windows by about 100 points (1752 to 1648), which I was very happy about, but it raises some questions, namely, why does the graphics card run so much slower? Is it because these are gaming benchmarks, and therefore macOS, in general, is less capable to take advantage of the GPU? I noted that the fans were spinning much quieter in macOS, so maybe it may be because of an issue that also happened in the Macbook pro, where the system would priorities noise levels and thermals over performance. My SMBIOS is set on an iMac Pro. I have no kexts installed for my graphics card as 1080p would run out of the box, even while in recovery mode/installation.
I will try to actually benchmark it using premiere pro, and will get back to you all. Thanks for your help!
