This isn't technically a hackintosh question per se, but it's for a hackintosh build.
I've attempted switching out the onboard M.2. WiFi card on the Z390-E Gaming Motherboard for a Dell DW1560 - but I can't get the chip to get detected by the system at all. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar issues with this motherboard, or if I should look for an alternative like going PCIE or dongle instead. My question is: does anyone know if this card is compatible with this motherboard from previous experience, I assume it should be since other asus boards work fine with this card.
- The card is not being detected by the hardware in general, it's not getting detected in Windows and I haven't finished installing MacOS yet
- I already tried the exact same chip (literally pulled it out of my current hackintosh) and it worked perfectly before
- I'm guessing somehow I might not be plugging the WiFi chip back into the slot properly, but I swear I've double checked it's plugged in before putting everything back together. Possible when I put the screws back on the metal shield it pushed the card out of the slot again?? This is all speculation
