I am working with a VM trying to install High Sierra via clover. I have made the EFI on the vm in High Sierra and have incldued rehabmans fake smc, Audio codec kext, USB kext, whatever green kext as well as lilu graphics kext.
I followed Corpnewts vanilla guide for creating the installer and as I boot the installer via the usb2 port I get the boot screen and it hangs up and the text gets distorted and a white crossed out symbol pops up. Letting it sit like that just has it create a black space that grows every few minutes. I can include a picture of it if it would be helpful, however it is very hard to read the text.
Specs: 6600k, evga 980ti ftw, gigabyte ga-z170-hd3, 16gb corsair lpx ddr4 ram (dont remember the speed however I can check if that would be relevant.). The drive it I am attempting to install it onto is a samsung evo ssd.
Would it be a better idea to just create a Mojave installer instead of a HS one? I would like to be on the most recent version of osx and am unsure if I should just continue with HS and update once the hackintosh is up and running or if I should just try to install Mojave right away.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
