I'm just curious if a hackintosh can utilize the non supported Nvidia gpus for rendering and the internal gpu for display or if nvidia incompatibility completely disables them. I want to use a program(davinci resolve) that uses mutliple video cards not in SLI on towers, but I was just curious if it's even worth it if I want to use a hackintosh as a rendering computer.
I'm doing this potentially on a laptop(and a tower when I can do a new build) so it's not a heavy rendering machine, but I would like to do occasional conversions to prores that could benefit from an nvidia GPU. I was going to attempt it on an acer aspire v17 Nitro so it has a 960M in it which would definitely be nice. Browsing through posts on similar laptops a few times it looks like it's not a straight forward install so I just wanted to see if it would ever be able to do what I want or if it's a bit of a fools errand.
