After a lot of browsing through threads here and on https://www.tonymacx86.com/, I've put together a parts list for the Hackintosh I'm considering building (first time). My priorities (besides the obvious - max power/speed!) are:
- Value (don't want to spend money just for the sake of it)
- Quietness (hoping to get as close to silent as possible)
- Ease of installation (don't want parts that cause headaches to setup)
- Reliability (it's my work machine so I can't have it acting up)
Hoping to get some feedback that might include:
- Experience with same/similar combination of parts.
- Suggestions on switching parts for specific reasons.
- Case suggestions - something that minimizes noise and makes installation easy. Don't really want to spend too much on a case though. In terms of bays I don't think I'd use more than 3 storage drives. Not sure if more bays would be useful for something else?
- Links to installation walkthroughs that would be helpful for this setup.
- Anything else that might be useful!
