I just want to share my fully working hackintosh notebook experience. GUIDE here: https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/11355-acer-aspire-v-15-v5-591g-mojave-windows-10 https://i.redd.it/1agdshfdwc131.jpg CPU: i5-6300HQ Skylake GPU: Intel HD 530 & GTX 950M RAM: 8 GB DDR4 SSD: 250 GB WiFi + BT: Original is Qualcomm Atheros, I changed that to Broadcom BCM94352Z and enabled with patches. Everything is okay except GTX 950M (of course because optimus), Realtek SD Card reader (unsupported), FN Brightness keys. Fully working sleep, power management, audio, hardware encoding/decoding, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, AirDrop, Handoff, etc. Using dual-boot with Windows 10. Hacked since Sierra, took a lot of time to get everything working, but now it's (almost: still trying to enable Fn+br keys) completed, and actually it's very stable now (no kps, freezes, etc. since I fixed everything) Sierra: Wifi sometimes crashed. High Sierra: I think 10.13.2 version is the best version for this notebook, on higher versions there is one thing I actually don't understand -> on 10.13.4 or higher I have to wait about 5 sec when the OS needs my password (Authenticating) and it's very frustrating, I have no idea why it's happening (on Mojave too). Maybe a bug. Mojave: 10.14.5 -> Still everything working as expected. [link] [comments] |
