Hello all!
I've been playing with hackintoshes since 2013, but still am relatively a noob when it comes to what I'm doing. In the past I've simply followed whatever guides were on tonymacx86 for my hardware and that was it. I know that installing vanilla with clover is preffered here and so I wanted to ask the community a question. First here's my hardware:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H
CPU: Intel i7-3770K (Ivy Bridge)
GPU: GTX 970
So I'm weighing either just doing an upgrade from Capitan -> High Sierra using Tonymacx86 for now and putting the vanilla mojave off till later. I'm leaning towards doing this for now because it *should* be pretty straightforward from what I understand, but the likelihood I mess something up is there.
Second option is backup, do a clean Mojave install with the vanilla & clover guide on the sidebar. I'd have to get an AMD GPU but I think I'm good on hardware otherwise? I know this sub much prefers vanilla over tonymacx and I wonder how easy it would be comparatively.
