High Sierra updated to Mojave: can't get Intel iGPU to work

A while ago I did a build on Sierra/High Sierra (a variation of vanilla install) with the following hardware:

CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k
MB: Asus Z270H Gaming

GPU: Gigabyte 1050Ti

I recently updated to Mojave, using a fresh USB installer (vanilla method). Obviously with the Mojave update I can't use the NVidia card, but I ran into a problem where my iGPU would be stuck in a loop like this:

"[IGPU] HASH DATA FROM ME NEVER RETURNED"

After 50 iterations it would end in:

"Lilu init found a disabling argument or no arguments"

What I've tried so far:

  • set the preferred display device to iGPU in BIOS;

  • did the "inject drivers" for Intel;

  • removed anything NVidia related from the boot options

  • tried running the iGPU with -disablegfxfirmware (this one just hangs earlier in the loading process);

  • updated existing sideloaded kexts by Clover Configurator;

This is my config.plist at the moment

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
