When I eject the mouse out of the USB port system crashes immediately.
I’ll try to investigate the case of the issue, but as for now:
I don’t know whether it’s
- the mouse,
- the software (Razer Synapse 1.85.2),
- the Hackintosh,
- or just macOS (10.14.4 18E226),
but I suspect my Hackintosh, since I have never had such an issue with my MacBook Pro.
I’ll update the post with more info when I’ll have it. Just posting for everyone to know, and maybe for someone who may know the cause of the issue.
- That doesn’t make the experience any worse, since I’ve changed the mouse probably the first time for like years, I just don’t remember that pulling the mouse out being even an event to any computer. I’ll experiment with different mice and with different ports. So far two different ports caused my system to crash. I haven’t tested this issue on my older systems (I use the mouse for few years at least, probably since Sierra), so I don’t know is it Mojave, or something else.
My Hardware
- MB: GA-Z87MX-D3H
- CPU: i7 4770
- iGPU: Intel HD 4600
- GPU: Radeon RX 580 4 GB
- Wi-Fi + Bluetooth: Not sure, something from iMac or alike, bluetooth works natively even in EFI and in Clover
- PSU: Thermaltake 750W
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHz (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory
- SSD: Sandisk Extreme Pro 120 GB Sata3
- Three 1 TB HDDs + One 4 TB HDD, but I don’t think they could be the cause of that.
I use 3 displays:
- Apple Cinema LED 27, via DisplayPort, 2560 × 1440
- Dell U2312HM, via HDMI, 1920 × 1080
- Samsung SyncMaster 970P, via DVI, 1024 × 1280 in 90º
All of them are connected into the GPU (Radeon RX 580 4 GB).
Providing all that info just in case, but I believe it’s rather something I’ve missed with kexts, maybe. Not sure. Will update if I’ll get to know the cause of the problem.
At the moment of this issue, another mouse has been connected: Razer Naga 2014. Razer Synapse 1.85.2
