Disk Utility very laggy and unresponsive during Mojave install on Ryzen.

I'm trying install MacOS Mojave on my Ryzen build but when I get to the actual installing part and load into the first screen with disk utility and the reinstall options it goes so laugh it takes minutes for anything on screen to respond to my clicks. I'm not sure what's going on with this. I'm a novice at Hackintoshs so I need help with this. Thanks in advance!
