Question [BUILD] Compatible 8 Dimm Motherboards for Mojave

Hi,

I'm piecing together specs for a Hackintosh Pro build for FCPX 4k editing, but I also work heavily in Windows for 3D animation and VFX.

I'm looking for a motherboard that supports 8 dimms for future expansion. I see 4 dimm motherboards on hardware guides on tonymac and other sites.

2 motherboards I am looking at with 8 dimm support: ASUS ROG STRIX X299-E or ASUS TUF X299 MARK I

Rest of the specs: Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz Thermaltake Slim X3 CLP0534 80mm CPU Cooler Ballistix Sport LT 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 1TB SATA III CORSAIR RMx Series RM650X 650W 80 PLUS GOLD TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E

I would like to put together a Vanilla build, and eventually add a second performance graphics card just for use on Windows for realtime work, but this is what I would like to start with. Any thoughts or suggestions on these motherboards or others that support 8 Dimms? Any words of caution or advice?
