Vega 64 - Current Situation?

Hello /r/hackintosh!

I'm getting a Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+ soon. Now I've read that the fans have some issues in MacOS:

Some potential solutions mentioned by other people here:

Or injecting a custom kext, source

I wonder if the latter solution works for non-reference cards like the Sapphire mentioned above. Some say the first fix/kext is useless, other people say it works well for them.

For anyone having a Vega Hackintosh Setup: what is your solution to the fan issues? Or was this already fixed in a regular MacOS update?
