trying to install high sierra on x299 i7 7800x

if i use the -no_compat_check i get an error when trying to install to my drive saying The version of macos installed on this mac is newer than the version your trying to install. but when i remove the -no_compat_check i cant even boot and get an error saying this version of macos is not supported
