[question] film composing/ music production hackintoshers, should i hackintosh? or stay with what i have?

Currently i have a 2013 macbook pro

processor: 2.5 GHz intel core i5

memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: intel HD graphics 4000 1536 MB

Storage: 500 GB SATA disk

here's a link to the apple page showing my current setup if that wasn't enough info for the post https://support.apple.com/kb/SP649?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

My question is if i should spend the money i have saved up to build a hackintosh or should i upgrade my current setup if i want to have something to use for the beginning steps of trying to get my foot in the door of film composing/ music production?

Currently the macbook doesn't have any real issues other than crashing when using Logic pro, but i have a hunch it might be bc the "non licensed" version isnt compatible with the recent mojave update or something of that nature.

I would like to be more legit and just buy the licensed logic pro and clear off (or even factory reset )any other old, "non licensed" software for the sake of streamlining music production, my only worry is that it is a mid 2012-2013 model and i'm scared that installing logic and whatever necessary plugins for film scores and music production may make this slow..

I'm also not sure if i've made enough music or or enough progress to impress anyone with my music to "deserve" an upgrade like building a brand new hackintosh, when i have a pretty decent computer so far, just worried about age. should i try to compromise and leave it the way it is while i grow or upgrade the ram or storage or anything?

can any of you give me advice on this or if this isnt the best sub, somewhere better to look for this advice? I'm currently trying to get out of the soul sucking food service jobs to do things that actually make me feel like a human, but am not sure how to proceed and i have a decent amount of money that id like to use to put me in a decent position to make a good portfolio for movie directors, or even other musicians to possibly use this as a studio. I'm getting to the point where i actually will listen to my own music sometimes, but i want to improve.

aside from the macbook i have a maschine controller, a casio cdp-130 piano that doubles as a midi keyboard and a focusrite 2i2, and a few cheap mics

hell here's my soundcloud if any of you care to look through it. (the film score sounding songs are a little further back)

sorry if this is a little long winded or disorganized and i appreciate any feedback or advice
