Hi everyone.
First thank you all for sharing your experiences here, it was really helpful and made things a lot easier for me building my hackintosh.
So I'm using an Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti GPU (with Gigabyte Z390 Pro WiFi & i7 8700K), and hardware acceleration seems to be working fine.
But there's a weird issue with the UI. Every now and then the interface would freeze a little bit (typically 1-2 seconds) every time I do any of the following:
- Quit an app
- Close a Safari tab
- Sutting down / restarting
- + other instances...
I tried:
- Installing the drivers through this script: https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update
- Disabling the acceleration for Safari solves the freeze there, but it's also not a real solution of course, since the GPU isn't fully utilized
- I sumbled upon this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-ui-stuttering-freezing-nvidia-issues.250891/
Couldn't really put my finger on what solved the issue there, but I tried a similar config anyway. It's also a different Intel generation. - Disabling/enabling iGPU
And none of them worked.
I'm using these drivers:
- NTFS-64.efi
- ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi
- FSInject-64.efi
- HFSPlus-64.efi
- OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi
- EmuVariableUefi-64.efi
And kexts:
- IntelMausiEthernet.kext
- Lilu.kext
- AppleALC.kext
- USBInjectAll.kext
- VirtualSMC.kext
- WhateverGreen.kext
Here's my config.plist file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aW4b4YCtr_S0kCn9HafybG4qhu1mHBaa/view?usp=sharing
I'm also using a custom SSDT.
So, any ideas?
