Here's my dilemma.
IntelMausi has a bug where if you download too fast on it, it disconnects or drops connection (described here)
another user on this sub compiled the kext from the source on github for high sierra. so i installed it, rebuilt caches, deleted the network connections in the prefpane and deleted some stuff under /l/prefrences as recommended, and rebooted.
and my ethernet isnt being detected.
if i repeat the steps with the origional kext file that was working (with the bug) i still dont have ethernet.
so
-
1: can i get ethernet working on this again, or do i have to reinstall?
-
2: is there a kext that is not intelmausi for the Intel I219-V chipset that does not have the high volume download bug?
i tried contacting Mieze about the issue, and was promptly told "not a driver issue, must be your network" despite the fact that on the previous page of that thread, Mieze provides a fix for this exact issue. so at this point, i think i need to find someone elses kext file to work with. i tried RehabMan and IIRC it may have the same issue.... if i could get back online without a full reinstall i could check, but as of now, im kind of screwed :'(
while evenings work wasted. :(
