I am pulling my hair out. My hack was perfectly running Friday. Later on Friday I picked up a 970 EVO Plus. My macos install was on a 970 EVO so I cloned the OS over to the plus, great ! I then install windows on the EVO.
Everything is going great, then I boot into Windows. I was in disk management prepping a sata drive for my Windows games, when it happened. I fully wiped mac os drive instead of my sata SSD. Fuck me right ? Well not yet. I have time machine backups !
So everything is jolly while I get my USB drive out and try to restore the backup. It fails ?
Odd. I restored Time Machine backups in the past dunno why it’d fail. Okay though I get out my Ubuntu laptop and follow the sub’s vanilla guide again. Hour later ? Same thing !! :)
Okay so Windows followed the guide did everything 10.13.6 here we go. Bam, same thing. Okay really fuck me then huh? I make a OS x VM in windows and make a drive. Same thing !!!
WHAT THE FUCK
There’s little to nothing on this issue on the internet besides this.
Yes changing the memory management does change the scenarios but all fails eventually.
Sometimes it makes me think the latest clover is broken somewhere.
Onward then,
This is what my NVRAM looks loke after clearning it in recovery terminal and clover
May be useful: “Failed to set NVRAM property”
