Latest Mojave + Samsung Evo 500 GB SSD - Your Disk Space is Almost Full

Hey r/hackintosh,

So I have been getting this message for awhile even though whenever I see it I wipe out any large files that aren't in use or move them to my 2 TB HDD. I literally deleted a 20 GB final cut pro library, my Parallels VMware install (16 GB) and about 100 GB worth of Logic Pro X project files and audio from my primary SSD.

I'm getting really frustrated at this point - because I always try to clear some more space when this message comes up on the top right (every time I reboot) and no matter how big the files I delete (via trash, not storage management application) are, my system still reads as having <1 GB available. Usually says I only have 50 MB left and prompts me to force close applications.

I've researched this a bit and it seems some issues reported it as being an issue pertaining to TRIM on Samsung drives, but I'm not really sure. I just wanted to post this here before I wipe anymore files or take some random advice on another forum.

Fingers crossed someone knows what I'm talking about or has had this issue before. Thank you everyone!
