My Mackintosh was working perfectly fine up until 2 days ago when I updated the BIOS on my MSI motherboard, it did reset all of my settings I had. I was using windows for a while then decided switch to MacOS. This keeps happening: Clover boots up, I select MacOS, and then the apple logo pops up but then it either crashes right away or loads the bar and then stays there. If anyone can please help me that would be great.
Also here is what I originally followed to setup my motherboard for MacOS:
- Save & Exit → Restore Defaults : Yes
- Settings \ Advanced \ Integrated Peripherals → Network Stack : [Disabled]
- Settings \ Advanced \Integrated Peripherals → Intel Serial IO : [Disabled]
- Settings \ Advanced \ Integrated Graphics Configuration → DVMT Pre-Allocated : 128MB+ (Or 64MB if that’s the highest you can go)
- Settings \ Advanced \ USB Configuration → XHCI Hand-off : [Enabled]
- Settings \ Advanced \ USB Configuration → Legacy USB Support : [Auto]
- Settings \ Advanced \ Windows OS Configuration → MSI Fast Boot : [Disabled]
- Settings \ Advanced \ Windows OS Configuration → Fast Boot : [Disabled]
- Overclocking → Extreme Memory Profile(X.M.P) : [Enabled]
- Overclocking \ CPU Features → Intel Virtualization Tech : [Enabled]
- Overclocking \ CPU Features → Intel VT-D Tech : [Disabled]
- Settings \ Boot → Boot mode select : [LEGACY+UEFI]
- Settings \ Boot → Boot Option #1 : UEFI: “macOS_flash_drive_name“
However, I can't find: Intel Serial IO and DVMT Pre-Allocated. Everything else should be set correctly like I had it last time. If you guys have any suggestions that would help.
Note: Whenever I plug my Clover boot usb into a mac it says that MacOS can't repair it. It did that before all the time and still worked, though.
