Got my graphics issues mostly working, but Chrome is still glitching out and Ableton just opens empty windows

So I've sunk about a month into trying to get this thing working, and figured I should make this post before giving up and going back to Windows. I finally got a Nvidia driver that improved the unusably glitchy graphics, but the fact that Ableton doesn't work (and probably can't offer support) is pretty much a dealbreaker. I'm assuming it's just one stupid box I'm not checking in the CC, but I've tried every kext humanly possible that's supposed to fix it (Whatevergreen, AppleALC, etc). Chrome is unusable but Safari works fine for some reason. I'm starting to think it's the version of High Sierra I'm on (13.6) but not sure where to get a better one.

Here are my specs: ASUS Prime Z370-P, Intel Z370 Chipset, Intel Core i7 8700K, 32 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
