Bluetooth headphones connecting, but now playing any sound

Hi i just received my broadcom card through the mail and installed it. At first i thought it was the bluetooth on my previous card that was incompatible with bluetooth headphone but i got this new card and im still having the same problem. Basically it pairs to my headphone/speaker but no sounds plays through it can you help please im on mojave 10.14.1
