Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB good enough?

I'm building a new mostly-gaming Hackintosh around a Core i7-9700K with 16GB RAM and an SSD.

I've always used Nvidia cards in the past but decided to go with a Radeon this time because of the Mojave support. I ordered the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB, but now I'm worried that the rig will be underpowered in the GFX department - should I have splashed out on a Vega card instead? (ie, will the extra $400+ make a big difference?)

I'm not looking for ultimate performance, just enough to appreciate current games at decent graphics settings. But I don't want a system where the GFX is struggling to keep up.
