Dell Optiplex 3010 (Any really) Ivy Bridge/ Sandy Bridge guide

Hi all, this is my simple & easy guide to getting OSX 10.13 Sierra running (mostly working).

Prerequisites:

-Update Dell BIOS to version A22: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/optiplex-3010/drivers

-No need to change any setting in BIOS, except secure-boot.

-Download OSX Sierra from Hackintosh Zone & create usb using transmac on windows, or disk utility on mac.

-Put on the usb what graphics drivers you might need for your gpu, as well as multibeast. (Try without GPU )

Installation:

-Plug in USB & check boot flags (use default ones to avoid issues)

-Format & install OSX. While installing, press window>log to see errors. If at end installation says it has failed, still try to reboot & it should hopefully show in clover menu from usb.

-Once booted, go through Apple setup, then after leave by itself as automatically, the required drivers should be installed.

-Reboot after a while & then login. If something isn't working, find the kexts that you installed from /System/Library/Extensions, then delete. Use Multibeast to install others.

-If everything is working, use clover config to change to boot to non-verbose.

What works:

-Usb 2.0

-Audio

-HDMI video/audio

-Power states ( no need for DSDTs)

-Sleep (not sure about, but enable Dell SMBIOS FIX in clover so see if it does anything)

Questions welcome!
