It's a potato indeed.

It currently runs Windows 7, okay. I only use this PC for downloading large files.

Linux does not support my Netgear Wifi USB adapter, and i don't want to buy another one - since i know the netgear wifi adapter runs really good. I don't want to use Windows to be honest.

Is there a possibility for Hackintosh? and which mac os version should i use? I am not expecting High Sierra, Mojave. Maybe older ones like Yosemite, Mavericks, El capitan? idk? however i don't want to go really old as Mac OS mountain lion.

Also is there fast file transfer speed?
