I recently switched from a GTX960 to an RX560 in my build for music production because I was really frustrated with the whole Nvidia web driver situation, and wanted to upgrade to Mojave as well. After installing the card I just had to inject the WhateverGreen and Lilu kexts to get it to work (Apparently for other people it’s just plug and play, however I’m running a Skylake system so I don’t think it liked the SMBIOS being different from a Mac that actually supports the AMD cards), but once I did this it runs perfectly. I could be crazy, but the whole system feels much snappier as well. Graphics seem smoother. Colours seem more accurate. There’s no weird artifacting around some fonts that I’d get with Nvidia. No more having to mess around with Nvidia drivers every single time there’s a minor OS update, let alone a major release. It feels much more like a real Mac.
If anyone else is considering switching, it’s definitely worth it.
