I posted yesterday about my desire to turn an old system into a hackintosh, and I got some feedback like changing the CPU from a Q6600 to (soon, AliExpress delivery) a Xeon E5440 which supports SSE 4.1 and a GTX 650 I gave my friend a while ago that he doesn't need and will send back to me, because my spare GTX 570 doesn't support metal.
I saw that apparently Mojave needs a certain patch to work with SSE 4.1 (instead of 4.2) and was wondering if anyone has done this on similar hardware and what steps are necessary.
