Mojave with iMessage on VirtualBox - Boots, but cursor stuck in upper left corner

As per the title, I'm trying to get Mojave working as a VirtualBox guest on Win 10. I attempted this previously with Sierra, and was able to boot and use it, but it wasn't able to access iMessage. So, following instructions here, I created a new VM for Mojave (although the instructions were for Sierra, I couldn't get access to a mac that was able to download Sierra) and used Chameleon as per the instructions.

However, although it boots into the installer (the "select a language" screen), the mouse is stuck in the upper left corner of the screen, and I can't move it. I've tried capturing the mouse pointer, passing through a generic hp mouse (instead of my Razor mouse, which I though may be causing issues), and changing the usb settings (the instructions said use usb 1.1, but I tried usb 2 as well).

Does this have something to do with the fact that I'm using a newer version of MacOS than the author of the article used? What can I do to fix this?

Thanks!

Edit: I should also mention that there is no apparent keyboard functionality either.
