target is not convertible to AFPS / install crash restart- High Sierra fresh install

Hi,
Stuck with this problem. No remedy yet, hope you kind and able ppl can help.
I've found 1 post here (unsolved) about it here:

My Setup:

Motherboard: Z97 ASrock killer
CPU: i5 4690k
Graphics: Gainward gtx 970
Ram: 16 GB
I want to install on a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

I had Yosemite running on it along side Windows 10 and Linux.

Created a Unibeast installer according to the Tonymacx86 High Sierra guide and followed it to the letter.
The installer loads alright. I use disk utility and format the dest. drive to mac OS extended. The install begins and crashes after 30 sec or so.
Since it does so all of the sudden, had to video the log and screenshot the part afterwards.
pics and more info here.
The log says:target is not convertible to AFPS, couldn't install....
I've tried unplugging and using different SATA ports and cables.
I've reset my UEFI, formatted the drive to AFPS using the installer, formatted to FATex just for the fun of it and formatted back.. I looked for AFPS.efi in the EFI partition of the installer, it's there.

As of writing this, I have access to a Linux machine and a Win 10 machine.

Hope I didn't miss out on any important clue. or r/Hackintosh etiquette.
English is not my first language, so please bare with my version of it.
Help is appreciated.

Thanks!
