Hello r/hackintosh! I'm asking for help in getting my wifi card working. I have been hackintoshing for years now, and have just dealt with my cheap wifi card not working, since I use an ethernet connection anyway. However, both since I like figuring things out and making things work, and since I don't have any money to buy a new wifi card, I've decided to see if I can figure out how to get my wifi card working, for location services, hacking in continuity, and using AirDrop.
What I've learned so far:
- My Rosewill RNX-N150PCe v2 Wifi card uses an Atheros AR9485 chipset.
- The AR9485 can apparently work under macOS, but needs some serious patching.
- I've used the AirPortAtheros40.kext info.plist edit to add my identifier (supposedly 168c,0032) to the list of devices, since I heard that worked. This didn't work for me.
- I've used the ATH9KFixup.kext and ATH9KInjector.kext together in my clover kexts folder. This didn't work for me.
Does anyone have a working kext or workaround or clover patch or the like that I could use to get my wifi working? Thank you!
