Hey all, I'm running 10.13.4, and I've recently switched from Nvidia to an AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100. I bought the exact card that Apple lists as being supported, and my board id is already listed in the appropriate AMD kexts. I have the MacPro 6,1 system definition, and running the AMD so far has been easier to set up than the Nvidia card. I don't have to install any unreliable drivers, and I don't have to apply AGDPfix every time I update.
However, all the smoothness goes away as soon as I try to render video from the Adobe suite. I can benchmark the card just fine using either OpenGL or Metal, but Adobe just stops working when I render. It doesn't crash, it doesn't quite freeze, it just stops.
I'm not sure if this is a video card issue, or if changing the video card somehow revealed a power management issue that keeps the GPU from being properly used. Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. I need to be able to render out from my computer, or I'll have to go back to limping along with crappy Nvidia drivers and the instabilities that come with them.
