I have High Sierra installed on a 250GB SSD, with two other internal HDDs (1TB and 500GB) for storage and video work. This setup works fine for about two weeks, and then when logging in, i start getting errors for both HDDs saying the hard drive cannot be repaired, and to backup as soon as possible. When this happens, I can't write to the drive, change filenames or do anything other than backup the data and reformat the drive. As expected, Disk Utility throws and error when trying to run First Aid: https://imgur.com/a/8RbC0
Is this a common issue? How can I make sure this doesn't continue to happen?
