[First time hackintosher] can't boot into macOS installation

Hey everybody! This is my very first reddit post as well as my first hackintosh install, so excuse me in advance for any expressions of sheer noob-ness :)

anyway- the machine I'm working on is a prebuilt ASUS M70AD

I know it's ideal to find the correct parts first, however this is what I got for now, (and seems compatible to me) here are the specs:

Motherboard: I assume some kind of ASUS H81 (doesn’t specify through the system information in Windows, sticker on the mother board says “H81/M70DA/DP_MB NFC/UPS” The case has built in NFC and Qi wireless charging. Pretty nifty.

CPU: Intel i7-4790

GPU: (ASUS branded) NVDIA GeForce GT 740

16 GB of ddr3 ram @ 1600 mhz

250GB SSD + 1TB HDD

I followed /u/corpnewt's incredible (!) post on making a vanilla install, setup an install USB with clover boot loader, modified the BIOS according to the guide and some other resources I found (only thing I didn't find is a serial port option, and the farthest I've gotten as of now is choosing the USB drive to boot off of and seeing : "welcome to Clover 4411 . . . . scan entries . . . . "

Any Ideas?

I've got no clue...
