I've been having trouble updating my mackintosh to the most recent macOS version. I originally installed it with 10.13.1, so this is the first actual update I'm trying.
When booting, I have an option to launch a installer rebooter and the "Install macOS from macOS". When I select the install option, the boot screen appears (apple and progress bar). This runs for a while (a lot longer than a normal boot, so it is doing something) and then it switches to a very glitchy version of that screen and then just sits there. I've also left it on that screen over night, but it didn't change anything. If I then reboot, the install option is still there in clover and when I choose the regular boot option, it boots correctly, but is still on 10.13.1.
I've tried this process a few times with the 1.13.2 update but it never worked and now today with the 10.13.3 update, which caused my sound to not work anymore but also didn't update my system.
Does anybody have any advice on this? I tried googling, but could not find anything that sounded like my problem.
My Specs:
CPU: Intel Core I5 6600
Mainboard: MSI Z270-A PRO
Graphics card: Sapphire NITRO+ RX 480 (not actually being used currently, because I can only blind boot with the card and then I can't select the boot option and it launches the installer again instead, so I'm currently using the onboard graphics)
