I've finally collected all of my components and am starting my first Hackintosh build this weekend. I'm excited but also a little nervous.
I'm pretty savvy when it comes to wood/metal working, electronics, and mechanics. However; Operating systems make my brain explode. I'm coming from a EGPU setup that I was able to conquer with a limited amount of headaches so I'm confident I can make this happen. I've done quite a bit of research through forums such as tonymac, hackintosher, reddit, etc... so I have a catalog of bookmarks and my trusty MBP ready to guide me through it all step by step.
The only thing I'm not completely confident in is the storage section of my new build. I have 2 M.2 NVME drives and wasn't planning on using any other SSD's or HDD's (except external). I've seen numerous issues with people having to disconnect drives when installing or repairing. Is this something I'm going to need to worry about using the Samsung M.2's?
Another question: Is there any pros and cons to installing Windows 10 on the machine first and playing around for a couple days before installing Sierra or HS?
Here's my parts list: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
I already owned the 1070 and definitely didn't pay that ridiculous price.
I appreciate any help you guys toss my way.
