I currently have a full working Sierra (10.12) Hackintosh working. I’ve been trying to do a clean install for High Sierra but can’t get the OS installed. During the install I either get:
macOS could not be installed on your computer.
The path /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged. * *Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again.
Or
macOS could not be installed on your computer.
An error occurred while updating firmware. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again.
I have an:
Intel - Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (Skylake)
Gigabyte - GA-Z170X-UD5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 950 2GB Dual WindForce Video Card
I’m interested in doing a Vanilla install per these instructions (https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/68p1e2/ramblings_of_a_hackintosher_a_sorta_brief_vanilla/) but I also tried UniBeast (8.1)
I tried both using my existing Config.plist and the sample Skylake one.
I added apfs.efi to drivers64UEFI.
I have the following ktexts:
*AppleALC.kext
*AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext
*FakeSMC.kext
*Lilu.kext
*NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext
*USBInjectAll.kext
Not sure what I’m missing...
