High Sierra fails to boot after another partition was resized: "still waiting for root device"

I have a dual boot with Windows and MacOS High Sierra.

I shrunk my Windows partition and created another partition with the leftover space. I didn't touch the partition that has High Sierra installed.

Now when I boot MacOS (in verbose mode) I get "still waiting for root device". It just hangs there with a "denied" logo instead of the apple.

I checked the partition UUID with a partition manager, and it is different from the UUID MacOS is trying to boot from.

I suspect the partition manager I used (EaseUS) generated new UUIDs for every partition when I resized the Windows partition.

I'm now trying to get Clover to indicate the right UUID, but I can't find this setting anywhere.

Can anybody help?
