Excuse the title...
So I have a maybe daft idea I am going to try with my new build (after finally tracking down a Hadron case).
I've been using my 13" MacBook Pro + 1070 eGPU and LG 5K Ultrafine as my main work and play machine. Work are getting me a new 15" model and new screen so my personal set up can stay at home now, which makes me think I dont need a laptop anymore...
What I am going to try, is building a MITX build in the Hadron which dual boots (simple stuff) but try and set it up to use my LG Ultrafine. I have read that you need an extra card to combine 2 streams for 5K but I'm not too bothered about that, 4k will suffice in macOS and 1440 in W10 as thats where I will be gaming. I will be plugging the screen into a TB3 port on a Fatal1ty mobo and using the iGPU in macOS and hopefully the Windows side will be able to use a proper GPU (as it deals with eGPUs fine).
This will leave me a spare laptop and I can chuck in huge HDD's and the like into the Hadron for server size storage.
Has anyone heard of anything remotely similar set up wise (macOS using iGPU, W10 side GPU)?
Have I missed something bloody obvious (I am a bit rusty)?
Why not just do it the easy way (I'm awkward).
