My ESXi Mac has been running Yosemite fine, until I got a new 1440 monitor that it looks really bad. So I decide try the newer os. Tried the ElCapitan, Sierra, High Sierra. So far only El Capitan works.
The setup: ESXi 6.0 with unlocker(not sure the version, up to 10.10 shows in the exsi guess menu). E3+X9SCM-F, amd radeon 6450 for video pass through.
High Sierra installs fine and boot into the first use with no problem. But after turning the vm off and turning it back on, the apple logo still shows and loads and at the end of loading before showing the UI it stucks. The verbose mode I can see the error message "Still waiting for root device".
I took a snapshot after a new installation. And loading the snapshot works every time. So I am thinking there might be some settings I can tune somewhere to make this work. Any thoughts? Thanks.
