- Processor: Intel i7 6800K (Broadwell-E)
- Motherboard: MSI X99a Gaming Pro Carbon
- -->On-board NIC: Intel I218-V
- -->On-board sound: Unused, disabled
- Wireless Card (for blutoof): Intel AC-7260, PCIe
- Memory: 4x8GB Crucial Ballistix
- GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X
- Drives: 1x M.2 Samsung 950 PRO (boot), 1x M.2 Intel SSD in a PCIe to M.2 card (secondary boot), 2x SATA Samsung SSDs (data), 1x SATA Crucial SSD (data)
The peripherals that I am concerned about are:
- DAC: Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6, main sound output | mac drivers on website
- Mic pre-amp: Behringer MIC500USB, mic input | no drivers on website, recognized as USB audio in Windows.
- Monitor: Acer X271HU (144hz, 1440p), will I be able to utilize 144hz?, Also have secondary/tertiary monitors at 1440p@60hz.
I plan to dual-boot Windows for the few games I play that don't support Mac--Ubisoft's UNO, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Forza are the only three I can think of unless a virtual machine would run these (unsure). Most if not all of my software support Mac or have better Mac alternatives such as TextMate.
