Sluggish responsiveness after vanilla install of High Sierra on EVO960 with APFS

Hi friends, I finally got around to doing a vanilla installation of High Sierra on my new Samsung EVO 960, after having spent some time on a rock solid stable setup with Sierra on a Samsung EVO 850. I followed the guide from: https://hackintosher.com/guides/high-sierra-install-full-guide/

The main problem I have is that the UI is laggy, especially noticeable when using Safari or Chrome and switching tabs. Scrolling is smooth, but switching tabs causes the responsiveness to go down. I had a similar problem before on the Sierra drive and disabling the media analysis process fixed the issue, but I did the same this time and the issue still persists (https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/7000px/will_a_mac_perform_better_than_a_hackintosh/dmzsmsg/)

I also followed along here to set up the Nvidia drivers https://hackintosher.com/guides/properly-install-nvidia-drivers-high-sierra-10-13/
