Post Installation Issues

Hello Community,

I recently battled my way through setting up my first hackintosh build (first computer build as well) and have installed MacOS High Sierra with NVidia Graphics on an Asus Prime H270-Plus motherboard.

I was able to get to the installer originally by plugging in my monitor to the graphics card instead of the motherboard; using the motherboard resulted in verbose printing "gioscreenlockstate 3" just before the screen goes black with only a blinking " _ ".

My questions are:

  • Is it okay to keep it plugged into the graphics card or should it be plugged into the motherboard? If it should be plugged into the motherboard, what do I need to do to pass the booting error? I was going to attempt to inject intel graphics and see if there are any kexts for it.

  • My other question is about booting with clover. Currently if I shut off the power to the build, the clover bootloader defaults to an option which tries to install high sierra again. There is an option to boot from High Sierra which boots properly. How do I fix or remove the options for reinstalling in the clover bootloader?

Thanks for the suggestions and help!
