Hi all, I am thinking of building a Hackintosh to replace my MacBook Pro at work. I only really use my computer for internet browsing, Excel, some Photoshop, and some 1080P video editing. I like the idea of having a powerful machine that stays on my desk 24/7 rather than bringing in my less powerful 13" MacBook Pro.
My question to you is, how stable are your Hackintosh builds? Assuming I pick hardware that maximises compatibility, would it be a good replacement for my trusty MacBook? For example, if I have any kind of irreparable software issue with my current Mac, I can simply backup to Time Machine, erase the internal drive, and reinstall the OS within an hour. I understand with a Hackintosh this is not possible, you would have to go through the entire conversion process again. Or maybe Hackintosh builds in general are much more unstable than native Apple hardware? I do not want to be in the situation where I am fiddling with my computer at work for hours to fix it.
Any thoughts or experiences would be much appreciated!
