[GPU Advice] Multi-monitor using 2 vga monitors (10.12.6)

Hi,

Iam running a stable setup, i've installed Sierra 10.12.6 (based on i5-3570K, Msi Z77A-G45). Config screen

Back in past when i was running Ubuntu, i had a two monitors setup, the first one plugged on the VGA port, the second plugged to HDMI using a HDMI to VGA adapter.

Now running macOS, the MB's VGA port is unusable, only the HDMI is working correctly.

I am looking for a cheap (entry-level) GPU to be able to use my dual-monitors setup again, under Sierra.

I won't do any gpu intensive tasks (only some amateur video editing)

  • Q1: What would you recommend for a small budget < 50$ ? (preferably compatible with High Sierra)

  • Q2: It's optional but, is the sleep functionality will work ? (actually, the fans keep running)

  • Q3: I have another 19" VGA monitor, i was wondering if there is any GPU that accepts a third VGA monitor ? (It's not necessary, i doubt i can run 3 vga simultaneously.)

Thanks for you advices.
