Easy way to share files between hackintosh desktop and macbook

I'm trying to share files from a hackintosh desktop with a macbook (2017 model) and would like to be able to pull files to the laptop from the desktop when needed. (rather than push them over from the desktop). What's the best way to share files this way (both on High sierra and same wifi network - just needs to be internal network only not across internet).
