Combed through this sub and saw no successful i3 8100 builds. So here it is. Made for iOS and android app development. [Also, CS:GO works with decent and playable fps on low settings.]

Picked up a used GTX 750 from ebay for 30 bucks and dad gave me his old 500gb hard drive. Total money spent: 396$
I'm a student so I had to cut corners everywhere. I call this build a 'Poor man's hackintosh'. Although 400$ is still a big amount for me. Could have gone for a used CPU and mobo but I didn't want to take the risk.
Was gonna go for a kaby lake build but the performance jump with coffee lake and super low prices tempted me to go for an 8th gen i3.
Originally tried to make it work with the UHD 630 iGPU but with no luck. So decided to throw in a GTX 750. [Turns out you will need a dedicated card for coffee lake i3s. Heard 8400 and 8600k work out of the box though]
How I did it:
I roughly followed this guide: https://cashfyre.com/2018/budget-coffee-lake-hackintosh-guide-high-sierra-2018/
Unibeast and Multibeast from tonymacx86.
Used my rusty and dying Mid-2010 Macbook Pro to create a bootable USB stick. [Barely made it through Unibeast installation]
Did not need to spoof CPUID in clover. Works directly in High Sierra. Went straight to the installation screen.
Multibeast for post installation.
Somehow, audio still didn't work. Needed to use AppleALC.kext with Audio Inject = 1 in clover configurator.
Nvidia web drivers worked flawlessly.
SMBIOS: iMac 18,2.
Works:
Sound
Nvidia web drivers.
Sleep/wake
iCould
Bugs:
Photoshop gives glitches.EDIT: Fixed after clean installation. Can't seem to make it show CPU and mobo temperature. But I'm sure there is an easy fix.(read it in some forums and can't find it now)Fake SMC plugins through multibeast did the trick.
Overall, very satisfied with my build. Price to performance ratio is darn awesome. I'm surprised that I got it working within 24 hours after I received my components. At 400$, this build is a friggin steal.
PS: My first post on reddit :) Hope I didn't do something against rules. If I have, please point it out. Cheers.
