Trying to figure this out, not making sense to me why my system stopped working.
I wanted to test out High Sierra so I pulled out my main SSD (disconnected SATA and power) and swapped in an older one for testing. Installed High Sierra on the old Drive to test it out for a bit and see how I ran on my hardware, then decided to swap back to my main drive running Sierra after the testing was done.
After swapping back to my main SSD; the screen goes black and my monitor goes to sleep about halfway through boot with the Apple logo. Never makes it to the desktop.
Having a hard time understanding why, BIOS never changed, never had both drives connected at the same time. Shouldn’t the old drive just see the same system it saw before and boot as per usual?
