I'm upgrading my now-6-year-old 2600k build and I'd love to get something I can hackintosh this time around as my workflow revolves around my MBP and my desktop has become a very expensive gaming console that I also use for internet and email.
Beyond 2 SSDs and 4 HDDs, I already have the GTX 980 that I won't be replacing. Here are the relevant bits:

From some quick searching, it would seem that AMD CPUs are not ideal for hackintosh, but I also see some people out there that have done it successfully. I'm mainly concerned about getting the right chipset/mobo.
